Customizing & minting your Block Party

Based on our last mint, Genome Blocks, it seems like everybody enjoyed the customization ⚙️ aspect, so we’ll keep doing that for new drops!

When you mint your Block Party, you'll first pick which palette(s) you want to use. Then, for each Block Party, you'll customize 3 properties: the "seed" factor that determines its traits, the animation/music speed, and the camera angle.

Collection size and price

We decided to keep this collection small: there will be 200 Block Parties available to mint at a price of 0.05 ETH. You may mint up to 20 NFTs at a time (if you have that many palettes — most people have just one or two).

Just like our previous collections, one palette lets you mint one Block Party, and can only be used once. If you use a palette on Block Party, you can still use it again for other collections.

Final thoughts

I created OpenPalette because I wanted to push the boundaries of web3 tech, and I’ve come to see it as an important outlet for creative self-expression. That’s why I love OpenPalette, and why I plan to keep creating innovative art projects with it ❤️.

I’ve been a huge fan of Rich’s work since Hapori, so I was thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with him. I’ve also always wanted to make NFTs with music, since I’m personally very drawn to audiovisual experiences. Overall this project was a lot of fun to create, and I think the end result is quite fun too — I hope you feel the same way! ✨
